![]() Overall it is typical Chuck Norris, exciting and action packed. Both scenes features some great intense music. The second is the fight between him and Ramon Cota's henchman where he gives him his three “lessons”. My two favourite scenes are the training sequence where Norris shows off his impressive self defence skills as his teaches his fellow Delta Force operatives. They are also very violent and filled with some stylish slow motion. This was his third movie following Braddock Missing in Action III and Platoon Leader. The action scenes are great and well directed by Aaron Norris whose directing had improved by this point. He is best known for his performance as the hitman in the Untouchables. Billy Drago however steals the show as the evil Ramon Cota, the drug baron who murders and rapes without second thought. His performance is a little over the top and I found him unintentionally funny at times. John P Ryan however takes over as the General of the Delta Force unit. Instead of Lee Marvin we get another old school Hollywood actor in Richard Jaeckel who stars as one of Norris's Delta Force members. Yes this is more cheesy with the Delta Force unit going after a psychotic drug baron who virtually controls the country of San Carlos along with his General friend who runs the army. In my opinion this is just as good as the original movie. Original director Menahem Golan steps aside and Chuck Norris's brother Aaron Norris takes over the directorial reigns. However unfortunately due to Lee Marvins death his character was unable to appear in this movie. However when Cota is let off punishment free and exacts cruel revenge on McCoy's best friends family, he decides enough is enough and goes on a one man mission to take down the drug baron the only way he knows.Īfter the success of the original Delta Force it was clear more money could be made from a sequel. Scott McCoy and his Delta Force arrest him and bring him to justice. Ramon Cora is exporting Cocaine to the USA so Col. ![]() So, a straight out stupid 5 stars for the movie and a middling 2 or 3 for the actual Blu-Ray from 101. A retrospective documentary or commentary track would have really aided this reissue. All in all, a worthy purchase for action fans but again one wonders what an Arrow or Second Sight would have done with the release regarding extra features - just a simple trailer in this day and age isn't cricket, guys. And he is.ġ01 Film's 'Cult Movie Collection' UK Blu-Ray release sports a very fine transfer with vibrant audio - but I'm not sure if this is an uncut version of the movie. ![]() And, I won't even mention how good Billy Drago is as the hateful nemesis of the piece - but I just did. ![]() Ryan and Chuck on full 'look at me the wrong way and I'll hurt ya' mode, this one is the gift that keeps on giving. ahem 'Top Dog') and the wonderfully efficient screenplay by Lee Reynolds to a gleeful dedication in delivering over the top violence orchestrated to near perfection - this movie gives you the cake and happily lets you eat the whole lot! Throw in a brilliant catch-phrase-o-rama performance from 'Death Wish IV' villain supreme John P. From the razor sharp direction of Aaron Norris (yeah, Chuck's brother who also helmed 'Braddock: Missing in Action III' and. This sequel never gets the accolades it deserves: For a low budget, tail-end Cannon Group cash grab - it sure delivers the numbskull goods like there's no tomorrow. Scott McCoy (Chuck Norris) who's more than happy to take the villainous Cota down for not only his country, but also because he's murdered his best friend's family - ensuring this mission gets very personal for our bearded bravado. However, when their mission goes disastrously wrong - allowing Cota to escape, they have no choice but to bring out the big guns in the form of The Delta Force themselves: Well, one of 'em anyway - Col. When ruthless Colombian drug lord Ramon Cota (an amazingly slimy Billy Drago) tightens his greasy grip on the global cocaine trade, the DEA decides to put a stop to his gallop. ![]() A movie so profound, so deep with meaning that generations of film scholars would debate its hidden potency for decades to come: How could a middle aged man with a beard punch so many men with such hardened efficiency? And is there a place on the human head that if you shoot, it could detonate into a bloody pulp? Enquiring minds needed to know. And lo, it would be written that in the year 1990 a movie would be made that had the potential to change human evolution as we knew it. ![]()
